Founding Vision

Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh (Ph.D), Founder & Secretary, established the Nagrik Club with the aim of fostering collective responsibility, patriotism, and civic consciousness among citizens. The Club responds to growing individualism, moral decline, and weakening societal bonds by connecting people—especially youth—to the values of duty, service, and morality.

Working System

The club's operations are guided by structured discipline, financial transparency, and a logical employee policy. Recognizing the vital role of both school teachers and community, the Club aims to restore respect for education and build holistic citizens by involving youth in social and national service.

The Club begins instilling responsibility in adolescents (ages 13–18) through grassroots activities alongside academics, helping these values become a permanent part of their personality. Nominal fees and required community service are part of membership.

Objectives

• Establish self-study centres in rural and small towns.
• Provide transport for rural students, especially girls, to reach higher institutions safely.
• Establish a school for grades 6 to 12 aligned with club values.
• Restore the prestige of school teachers and government schools.
• Encourage senior students to tutor younger students (Class 1 to 8).
• Organize competitions aligned with academic curricula.
• Publish research papers and case studies on social issues.
• Launch a neutral weekly or fortnightly newspaper/magazine.
• Establish English language skill centres.
• Set up computer literacy programs.
• Conduct regular games for children at community levels.

Appeal

According to Chanakya, “Tax (Arth) is the basis of the State and Charity (Daan) is the basis of the Society.” Nagrik Club invites individuals, citizens, and donor organizations to support this movement both ideologically and financially, to help realize the shared dream of a vibrant, responsible, and united India.
